m Taraz in the village. Lots of volunteers gathered there for a seminar Anson put on and afterwards we all hung out and had some fun. Got back yesterday and prepared for a busy week. This week in the office grant tenders are due so everyone will be running all over the place trying to get them done. We will probably also have seminars and advertising actions for a business school project that we are trying to get off the ground. I also have to get my resume and cover letters up to date as the job search is officially on. Today, I have exactly 6 months left as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Six months is not a lot of time to find a job, especially when I live in Taraz, Kazakhstan. So I need to start looking and making some preparations. I am looking at opportunities in Europe, America, and Asia which means my geographical area of interest is also quite broad. In short, even though I have 6 months left, I already feel like I am a bit behind. Still no Russian tutor, but I haven’t really been looking. I figure the fact that I am speaking Russian all day anyway should make up for the fact that I don’t have a tutor. That is just about it for now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Привет всем. Я сейчас сежу в моем офисе и на улице дождь идет. Обычно когда дождь идет здесь в Тараз, я хочу спать. Мне также раздражен потому что город становится одну большую грязевую яму. Теперь выясняется, однако, что я очень счастливый потому это первый раз больше чем шест месяца вижу влажность в Таразе что не снега. С надеждой, значит зима закончится и не будет холодно опять.
За последнее время погода была прекрасная так прогноз погоды хорошие. У меня был смешной выходной. Я ехал видеть мой друг Ансон который живет в Чуе три часа от сюда в селе. Много волонтеров собирались там для семинара Ансон проводил и после этого, мы крутились вместе. Приехал вчера и приготовился к занятой неделе. Этой неделе в офисе, мы должен дать тендеры так все будут ходит туда-сюда постараются закончить их. У нас скорее всего будет семинары и акции для Бизнес Школы который мы постараемся начинать. Мне также надо дополнять мой ресуме и письма потому что я официальный ищу работу. Сегодня у меня точно 6 месяца остались как волонтер Корпуса Мира. 6 месяца немного время найти работа, особенно что живу в Таразе, Казахстан. Так , мне надо начать готовиться. Я вижу возможности в Америке, Европе, и Америке который значит мой географический интерес широкий. Короче, хотя у меня 6 месяца остались, я уже чувствию что я опаздываю. Уже не репетитор русского языка но честно я не искал. Я читаю что факт я говорю русский язык целый дне на работе должен восполнять факт у меня нет репетитора. Пака все. Я наделось все хорошие!

Hmmm, last week was fun! I went to Shymkent (city two hours south of Taraz) to see the Nauriz celebrations. Nauriz is the Kazak New Year and they generally celebrate it by watching horse games and drinking way too much. There were almost 50 volunteers in town (most from the new group whom I don’t know that well) so it made for an interesting time. Shymkent is bigger then Taraz with about 800,000 people living there. It was interesting to see all the new shops and people on the streets. Very different from Taraz, but all the same, I was happy to get back home to Taraz. This week, I have been busy working on a new database in the office. The idea is to create an international database that local business leaders can use on order to develop business in the city. It is good to be busy and I find that the busy I am, the better my brain works. I still haven’t found a new Russian teacher but hopefully soon as I am still looking. Other then that, all is well in Taraz. I gotta go now as I am watching Resident Evil 3.

Науриз новый год Казаков и они обычно празнват его смотреть игры лошадей и пить слишком много.
